A Specialized Program for Veterans
The Specialized Program for Veterans at Oneness is a private, one-on-one, trauma-informed retreat in Costa Rica, built for veterans seeking a personal path to recovery and wellbeing. No two programs are the same. After a full health and psychological assessment, we design a treatment plan around your goals, your history, and the level of support you need. Psychedelic-assisted therapy is one part of the work. Alongside it, your program may include nervous-system regulation, breathwork, somatic practices, mindfulness, yoga, nature-based experiences, and integration coaching.
Your final package price is based on your selected accommodation and length of stay. How the package is billed and what a complete five- or seven-night stay comes to is set out below.
Through our Veterans Scholarship Fund, we work to make this program more reachable for those who have served. With support from donors, community partners, and our own commitment to giving back, a limited number of partial scholarships may be available to eligible veterans each year. The aim is simple: money should not be the only thing standing between a veteran and trauma-informed care.

Are there psilocybin retreats in Costa Rica for veterans with PTSD?
Yes. The Oneness veterans program is private one-on-one work in Costa Rica, run trauma-informed, with one veteran at a time and none of the exposure a group setting brings. It starts at USD $2,500 and covers the assessment, preparation, the session, and integration afterwards. It is not VA care, it is not a clinical trial, and it does not replace medical or psychiatric treatment. What it is, is a personalised wellness and therapeutic program for working through what you are carrying, privately. Tell us at intake what you are prescribed, because some combinations rule the work out.
Because at home most of it still sits behind clinical trials with narrow entry criteria, long waiting lists, or a price that rules it out. Costa Rica has private programs you can actually book, with individual support, and the setting does some of the work itself. Part of the country is one of the world’s Blue Zones, where people live unusually long lives on unremarkable things: moving, eating well, being outdoors, staying connected to other people. Leaving your own surroundings matters more than most people expect it to. What to compare between providers is the screening, the training behind it, what preparation you get, and how long the integration runs. Not the destination.
No. Nothing about your service, your deployment, or anything else has to be said out loud if you do not want to say it. Intake asks about medical history, medication, where you are now, and what you want out of the work. Some veterans go through their service in detail during preparation or integration. Others never name it, and the program is the same either way. Our job is to hold the space, not to walk you back through it. What needs to surface tends to surface without being forced. You set what gets shared, what gets explored, and how fast any of it moves.
Not in the way that word usually gets used. Personal consumption is not treated as a crime under Costa Rican law, and there is no licensing regime for psychedelic retreats in either direction, which is the grey area every centre in the country works inside. No licensing regime is not the same thing as formal authorisation, and the picture can change. Costa Rica also has a long history of plant-medicine practice behind it, and that is why the in-person part of an Oneness program happens there. It tells you nothing about the law where you live. Oneness does not supply, ship or sell any substance, and carrying anything home is a serious offence in most countries.
