A Personalized Addiction & Recovery Program

At Oneness, we are not a traditional recovery center. Our approach to addiction is holistic and individualized, combining plant medicine, somatic therapy, therapeutic support, and natural wellness modalities to address the person as a whole.

We don’t believe recovery is simply about stopping a substance. We look deeper, exploring the underlying factors that may contribute to addictive patterns, including unresolved trauma, emotional disconnection, behavioral patterns, and nervous-system dysregulation.

Every recovery journey is as unique as a fingerprint. That’s why each program is fully personalized, designed around your individual needs, circumstances, lifestyle, and goals. Recovery isn’t about replacing one substance with another. It’s about creating a life you no longer need to escape from.

Your care begins with a comprehensive intake and assessment. From there, we create a personalized recovery plan that guides you through the process.

The program runs 11 days and 10 nights, allowing enough time for stabilization, therapeutic work, preparation, and the beginning of a sustainable recovery pathway.

Our Three Step Journey

Step 1

Detoxification

Detoxification is the essential first step in any recovery journey. Before true healing can begin, the body must be cleared of the substances that disrupt its natural balance. A safe, well-supported detox reduces physical discomfort and creates the stability needed to address the deeper emotional and psychological roots of addiction. Our approach cares for you physically, emotionally, and energetically as you prepare for the work ahead.

For most people the fear of withdrawal is the thing that stops them starting. That is the part of detox the ST Genesis device is there for. It is an FDA-cleared neurostimulation unit, fitted behind the ear and worn through the first days, sending low-level pulses to the cranial nerves that carry much of what withdrawal feels like. No pharmaceutical substitute is involved. It is cleared for reducing the symptoms of opioid withdrawal, it is not a cure, and it does not replace a medically supervised detox where your history calls for one. Where it fits, it takes enough off the first days that the rest of the work becomes possible.

  • Holistic protocol, with no pharmaceutical substitutes
  • ST Genesis: an FDA-cleared neurostimulation device worn through the first days of detox to ease withdrawal symptoms, drug-free
  • Withdrawal monitored throughout by experienced professionals
  • Natural support therapies: yoga, breathwork, hot and cold therapy, and more
  • A detox plan built around your own history with the substance
  • Honest guidance on whether a medically supervised detox should come first
Step 2

Addiction Treatment

Before detox begins, we develop an individualized treatment plan based on your history, the substance or pattern involved, how long it has been present, your circumstances, and your goals. Once detox is complete, we reassess your needs and readiness and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the program continues to reflect where you are in your recovery.

The framework is fully holistic and may include individualized plant-medicine work alongside somatic and therapeutic support. Our goal is to address the whole person, supporting meaningful change in both the body and mind.

  • Fully holistic approach
  • An individualized plan developed before detox
  • Post-detox assessment and adjustments as needed
  • Individualized plant-medicine protocol
  • Trauma-informed work addressing root causes, not only symptoms
  • Support before, during, and after each session
  • One program length, 11 days and 10 nights, at a stated price
Step 3

Aftercare & Integration Support

Healing does not end when treatment is complete. In many ways it is just beginning. Integration is one of the most important phases of recovery, so every client is supported after returning home, making sure the insights of the work are lived out in daily life rather than left behind in Costa Rica.

  • One-on-one integration sessions to support emotional processing and reintegration
  • Holistic modalities including somatic work, breathwork, yoga, and cold and hot therapy
  • An aftercare plan tailored to your recovery goals
  • Relapse-prevention tools: mindfulness, nervous-system regulation, coping strategies
  • Virtual and in-person options, scheduled around your life
  • Long-term guidance for months after treatment, not weeks

Can psychedelic-assisted work help with addiction?

It may help some people, and the research on psilocybin for alcohol and tobacco use disorder is promising rather than settled. Nobody honest will promise you an outcome. What we work on is what sits underneath the behaviour, not only the behaviour itself. Addiction is very often tied to unresolved trauma, to pain, or to a way of coping that made sense once and then stopped working. So the program looks at the person, not just the substance: supported detox where it is appropriate, preparation, the psychedelic work, somatic practice, therapeutic support, and integration afterwards. Making room to look at the cause, and building a different way of meeting hard feelings, is what carries the change. The program runs 11 days and 10 nights and starts at USD $9,500, with the stay and the meals inside that. It does not replace medical detox or emergency care.

No. Rehab is mostly built around stopping the behaviour and holding it stopped. We start a layer down, with the experiences and the pain the behaviour is answering, and work on those. A program here can include supported detox, preparation, the psychedelic work, somatic practice, therapeutic support and integration, and it stays holistic throughout: no pharmaceutical medication is used as part of it. The other difference is what happens after. Support does not stop at the airport. We keep working with you once you are home, because home is where the change either holds or does not. Programs are shorter than residential rehab and built around one person rather than a fixed length. Recovery looks different for everyone and no responsible practitioner guarantees it. This is not a replacement for a medically supervised detox or for emergency care.

It is a neurostimulation device with no drug in it, worn behind the ear for up to five days at a stretch, sending low-level electrical pulses through the nerves of the ear. Its FDA clearance is for reducing the symptoms of opioid withdrawal, and only that. It is not cleared for alcohol withdrawal, for PTSD, for trauma or for insomnia, and it is worth being precise about that. We use it as one part of a wider protocol, usually when withdrawal is rough or the nervous system needs settling, and it is arranged for the guest whose plan calls for it rather than issued to everyone. Some people notice a difference quickly. Some do not. It is not a cure, and it does not replace a medically supervised detox where your history calls for one.

Not in the way that word usually gets used. Personal consumption is not treated as a crime under Costa Rican law, and there is no licensing regime for psychedelic retreats in either direction, which is the grey area every centre in the country works inside. No licensing regime is not the same thing as formal authorisation, and the picture can change. Costa Rica also has a long history of plant-medicine practice behind it, and that is why the in-person part of an Oneness program happens there. It tells you nothing about the law where you live. Oneness does not supply, ship or sell any substance, and carrying anything home is a serious offence in most countries.

Talk to them before you pay anyone, and pay attention to how the conversation feels. Ask what their training is and where it was done. Ask them to walk you through the whole thing: who screens you, what preparation looks like, who is in the room during the session, what integration is included afterwards and for how long. Ask what happens if it gets overwhelming. Read enough about the medicine beforehand that you can tell a real answer from a smooth one. Word of mouth helps. Your own instinct helps more. Anyone who pressures you, promises you an outcome, or needs a decision today is telling you something useful about themselves.

Ready when you are.

This program is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care, medically supervised detoxification, or emergency treatment, and nothing here is a promise of specific outcomes. Withdrawal from alcohol and some medications can be dangerous without medical supervision; tell us what you are using at intake so we can advise you honestly, and seek urgent medical help if you are in crisis. The legal status of psychedelic substances varies by country; participation is subject to intake and clinical screening. If you take medication or have a diagnosed medical or mental-health condition, consult your physician before applying.
